The department of Zoology was established with the establishment of institution in1971. Being first head of the department, Prof.N.D.Mendule laid the foundation stone .
In 1973 Prof. M.G.Radke came having dream of introducing Zoology. In 1989 Miss.U.S.Rana was appointed and the team of three began to scale new heights of performance.
The department received major setback with retirement of Prof N.D.Mendule in 2001. Dr.G.A.Wagh was appointed in his place on 17.1-2005. After retirement of Prof . M.G.Radke .Dr.G.A.Wagh Become a head of Department.
In the year 2007 Career oriented course ( Biomedical Lab) was introduced. Dr.S.R.Kondulkar being co-ordinator, Dr.Wagh Transfer to Amravati. Miss.H.P.Nagupre was appointed in 2006. Dr. N.B.Bhusari was the principal 2007-2009. Miss. U.S.Rana had take valuntary in 2011. Miss.Nagpure appointed as a assistant prof. SGB amravti University in 2012. Dr.A.K.Solake was appointed on 28-2-2009 , then he transfer to R.R.Lahoti Lahoti College Morshi dated-21-10-16 . Recently Dr.V.B.Bhagat transfer from Shri.Shivaji Science College Akot and Dr.G.A.Wagh Transferd From Shri. Shivaji Science College Amravati.
